What type of classes do you offer?

We have three different workout studios, each delivering a unique experience. The TRAIN studio offers HIIT training, the RIDE studio offers an indoor cycling experience, while our MOVE studio offers a wide variety of low impact classes (Flow, Pilates, & Barre)

Are there different workout levels?

One of the best things about both our RIDE and TRAIN sessions is that they can be adapted to any fitness level. You are always in control of your own efforts and resistance. With every class comes increased confidence and strength, so we encourage first timers to go at their own pace and have fun.

What is High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)?

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) combines intense, high-energy bursts of activity with shorter periods of active recovery. You’ll burn more calories in a shorter time, and boost your metabolism. That means you continue to burn more fat and calories in the 24 hours after a workout.

Do you offer PT or open gym equipment?

ANIMO TRAIN, RIDE and MOVE sessions are based on a group workout spirit, empowering you to join our community and to consider the fun side of working out. We currently do not offer open gym or personal training sessions. Our instructors will correct and guide you during your workouts to ensure proper technique.

What do I need to bring?

Just bring your workout gear and suitable training shoes (cycling shoes are provided). Everything else is provided free of charge with every session: locker access, workout towels, shower towels, cycling shoes, toiletries, …

Do I need to bring a workout mat?

No, we provide you with a clean mat for every MOVE workout.

Can I ride/workout if I am pregnant?

If you are pregant, we highly recommend you check with your doctor before working out at ANIMO. You can also discuss this with your instructor who will guide you to the best of their availability. That said, we always advise following professional medical guidelines.

I'm a newbie to sports. Can I attend classes?

YES! One of the best things about ANIMO is that our sessions can be adapted to any fitness level. With the ability to adjust the resistance level on the bike, the alternative moves in our TRAIN classes and the clear instructions from our coaches, the workout can suit each person's abilities. With every class comes increased confidence and strength, so we encourage first timers to go at their own rhythm and just have fun. The TRAIN Fundamentals classes are perfect to join if it is your first HIIT session.

 

Memberships & Credits

 

What’s the best way to try ANIMO for the first time?

Our Discovery Pack is specifically made for new users. It allows you to try out any 3 classes of your choice for a reduced price of €10 per session (total cost of €30). There are no joining or admin fees, so if you don’t like it there’s not much to lose.

How can I attend classes? How do I buy credits & register?

In order to attend classes at ANIMO you should book your spot online before every session. To do so;

How do I buy new credits?

  1. Online on our mobile app or on our website (Credits cards only)
  2. In-studio at reception (debit card like maestro are accepted)

Can I buy a monthly membership?

  • Pay-as-you-go: We offer pay-as-you-go formula. You can buy as many or as few classes as you like. If you want to buy one class, that's fine. But, if you're joining regularly, our larger series offer a price discount. To see our class pricing, click HERE.
  • ANIMO Unlimited: Enjoy an unlimited access to all classes. Priotity access to the schedule, book before everyone else. This membership renews monthly and can be cancelled anytime.

How does the No-show fee works for Unlimiteds?

If you need to cancel or can’t make it to a class, you have up to 8 hours before class to cancel to avoid a ‘late cancellation’. Any cancellation after 8 hours will be considered a 'late cancellation'

As a perk to your unlimited membership, the first two ‘late cancellations’ during a rolling period of 31 days will not be charged. However, from the 3rd late cancellation onwards, a fee of €5 will be charged to your account. All no shows will now be charged €10, from the 1st no show onwards.

Lastly, please note that because we already tolerate 2 late cancellations, we will unfortunately not consider waiving any late cancellation/no shows, even for reasons outside of your control.

Why do I need a card on file as un Unlimited?

It is mandatory, for people having Unlimited memberships, to have a card on file on your account. This card is used to process your monthly payment and charge the No-show fees when needed.

Can I share my membership or credits?

Credits and classes can not be shared, unless specified when bought.

 

Attending classes

 

Do I need to create an account?

Yes. It's important for us to know who's working out with us and to have your contact information. Creating an account is needed to attend, register and book classes. Don't worry, we respect your privacy.

Until when can I cancel my booking without losing my credit?

If you need to cancel or can’t make it to a class, you have up to 8 hours before class to cancel to avoid a ‘late cancellation’. Any cancellation after 8 hours will be considered a 'late cancellation'

Credit holders will simply lose their credit if they late cancel or no show.

Four our unlimited memberships, the first two ‘late cancellations’ during a rolling period of 31 days will not be charged. However, from the 3rd late cancellation onwards, a fee of €5 will be charged to your account. All no shows will now be charged €10, from the 1st no show onwards.

Lastly, please note that because we already tolerate 2 late cancellations, we will unfortunately not consider waiving any late cancellation/no shows, even for reasons outside of your control. If you need to cancel your spot, you have until 8 hours before class.

Cancellations must be made via the Website or Application, and will not be accepted via phone or email.

How can I cancel a booking?

To avoid being charged if you can not join, please cancel your booking through the ANIMO app or website. Please note that there is a cancellation deadline. You can cancel your classes up to 8 hours before class. Not cancelling and showing up is considered as a No show.

You can cancel the class from either our mobile app or on our website.

  • Go to ‘My Classes’ tab
  • Click on the Action icon
  • Click ‘Unreserve’ to cancel your class

I did not come to class, what happens to my credits?

UNLIMITEDS - All no shows will now be charged €10, from the 1st no show onwards.

Lastly, please note that because we already tolerate 2 late cancellations, we will unfortunately not consider waiving any late cancellation/no shows, even for reasons outside of your control.

CLASS PACK HOLDERS - Unfortunatly we kept your spot open, if you don't show up to class without cancelling your attendance online or on the app, your class will be charged.

Do my credits expire?

They do, the expiring date of your credits is mentionned for every type of package. But we won’t let you waste your workouts easily. As their expiration nears we’ll make sure you know it and encourage you to burn those calories – uh, we mean workouts – quickly.

When is the schedule online?

The schedule goes live every Monday at noon. This way you can always book your workouts at least one full week in advance. Unlimited members have early access to the schedule.

How early should I come?

As a first timer, please show up and check-in at least 15 minutes before class starts. This will allow us to welcome you, answer any questions you may have, and give you the time needed to attend the first timer briefing.

For everyone, please make sure to arrive at least 5 minutes before class. If you have still haven’t checked-in 2 minutes before class, we reserve the right to give your spot away to someone on the waitlist. We will refuse access to those who arrive late so as to ensure an optimal experience for all athletes.

How do referral campaigns work?

How does your referral campaign work? You will receive a free class once your friend has spent €55 or more at ANIMO on class packages/memberships. All you have to do is share a link with them which you will find in your account under ‘refer a friend’. You can read more about it here https://www.animo-studios.com/refer-a-friend

How do Reward campaigns work?

We want to thank you for your attendance and workout out regularly with us. We have several Reward campaigns that we share on our social media & by email, so please stay tuned.

I am on the Waitlist, how does it work?

If a spot becomes available up until 2 hours before class you will automatically be added to the class. If this is the case, you will be notified by email.

If you are no longer interested in this class, please remove yourself from the waitlist, as otherwise you run the risk of being automatically added to the class and losing your credit if you can no longer make it to class.

Please note: as long as you are on the waitlist you are signalling that you are interested in class. We will therefore not return your credit should you automatically added to the class.

 

Cancellation policy

 

You are a regular package holder

If you cancel your class up to 8 hours prior to class start time your credits will automatically be returned to your account with no penalty. However, if a cancellation takes place within 8 hours of class start time, this will be considered a ‘late cancellation’ and you will automatically lose the credit you reserved with. As a reminder, all cancellations must be made via your account on our website or mobile. Cancellations will not be accepted via phone or email. This change is valid as of next Monday (July 11th) and replaces our current 2 hours cancellation policy.

How does the Waitlist work?

Once classes have reached capacity (displayed on the schedule with a “W’ sign), a ‘first come first served’ waitlist policy goes into effect. By signing up on the waitlist, you are agreeing to be automatically enrolled into the class up until 2 hours before class starts if a spot frees up. You will receive a confirmation email to inform you if this is the case.

If you are no longer interested in a class, please remove yourself from the waitlist, as otherwise you run the risk of being automatically added to the class and losing your credit if you can no longer make it to class.

Please note: as long as you are on the waitlist you are signalling that you are interested in class. We will therefore not return your credit should you automatically added to the class.

 

The studio

 

Where are you located?

Our studio is on 73 Chaussée de Vleurgat, right in between Place Flagey and Avenue Louise. Enter the large garage door and turn left into the studio as soon as you walk in!

Do you have lockers?

Absolutely, and a lot of them. No need to bring a lock, we operate on a code combination setup.

How should I close the lockers?

  1. Check that the lock is in the open position (unlocked).
  2. Set a 4-digit code (and remember it!).
  3. Close the door.
  4. Turn the knob 90º to the left to close it. Now your locker is closed.
  5. To re-open, set the 4-digit code you chose and turn the knob back to the open position.

Are there in-class rules?

Not many, but a few important ones !

  • Leave your ego at the door. Go at your own pace while pushing your limits and focus on yourself. Even the best were once beginners.
  • Do not use your phone during the class. Leave it in your locker. Others will thank you for it and even better, you’ll have an excuse if you missed a work emergency. You can’t un-see things but you can not see them.
  • No talking with your neighbours, although singing along to the music and screaming is highly encouraged.

Do you have water or should I bring my own?

We try to avoid plastic as much as we can, we therefore provide free filtered water across numerous water stations. Bring your own re-usable bottle! If you happen to forget, eco-friendly carton water bottles are for sale at the bar.

How do I pre-order my shake?

Want it ready as soon as you finish class? You can either 1) pre-order your shake online while booking your class or 2) at reception while checking-in for your class.

Do you have showers in your changing rooms?

We have large rain-showers that are fully equipped with plush, fresh towels and a full line of organic care products from Grown Alchemist – including body wash, shampoo and body lotion. The changing rooms are also equipped with hair dryers and other amenities.

What else do you provide?

Sweat towels are provided for every workout, and specialised cycling shoes are available for every rider. We guarantee you'll leave feeling better than when you arrived.

Do you offer food and drinks?

At our café you'll find all you need to energise pre-workout or re-fuel after a grueling workout. We offer protein shakes, cold-pressed juices, snacks and coffee.

I lost some stuff at the studio, what should I do?

We keep lost items for up two weeks at the reception. After this two week period we donate everything to charity. Think you lost something? Just email us on hello@animo-studios.com or ask reception during your next visit.

Is there any parking?

We highly encourage all athletes to travel by foot, bike or public transport. We have a dedicated bike storage at the studio. If you are traveling from further away or wish to come by car, there are numerous parking spots available in the street or at the INDIGO indoor parking on Place Flagey.

COVID measures

 

What happened to my frozen packages?

All packages were unfrozen since June 9th. If you are experiencing any trouble, please reach out to us on hello@animo-studios.com

What COVID procedures do you have in place?

The health and safety of our clients is our top priority, so we have put in place numerous measures to ensure our facilities are as ‘covid-secure' as possible. We also try our best to respect local governmental guidelines and rules.

  • Check-in and payments are contactless. Our studio is on reservation basis only meaning contact tracing will be very easy if needed.
  • We constantly clean and disinfect the entire studio. All workout studios are also completely cleaned and disinfected between every class.
  • We stress the importance of keeping the 1.5m distance within the entire area, ensuring extra hygiene by requesting to disinfect your hands before and after the workout.

Above all, we pride ourselves on the highest standard of cleaning, and ensure every equipment is fully disinfected after every session. Our state of the art ventilation system ensures the air is consistently renewed, and is never being mixed with outgoing air, ensuring it is always free from contaminants.

Can I enjoy food at ANIMO Café?

Absolutely! You can order your coffees, shakes and acai's for take-away or to eat on-site.
